What is the price to hire a professional DJ?

It depends on the type of event and how many hours.

What is your cancellation policy?

Client has the right to cancel our agreement within seventy-two hours from date of agreement in order to receive a full refund. If event is canceled after seventy-two hours from date of agreement, all monies are held for liquidating damages. Absolutely no refunds issued, all monies can be applied and is transferable towards a future event. Cancellation due to hurricane included. If client cancels for any reasons less than 30 days of event date, there will be no credit or refunds issued.

Do you provide me with invoice?

When you book Party Specialists, Inc. we send all clients a copy of our invoice directly to your email.

What type of payment do you accept?

You can pay with a credit card, personal check, company check, by creating account and making payment online though our secured website.

How many years have you been in business & how much experience do you have?

Party Specialists, Inc. has been around since 1997. Experience brings knowledge of common problems and situations, be sure your DJ has experience with your type of event. Party Specialists, Inc. designates the appropriate personality for your event, it’s not about how long you’re in business, it’s about how many weddings or bar/bat mitzvahs have you done. You can be in business for 25 years and not know how to do an event.

Can we see you at an event?

I’m sure you would not like a DJ company to invite their clients to your event to make a sale on your special day, Party Specialists, Inc. understands the privacy issue.

Are you licensed? Do you have insurance? Are we dealing with a real company?

We are licensed with the city of Miramar and Broward County, and incorporated (INC.) with the state of Florida. We carry a one million dollar commercial liability insurance policy. If you need a copy of our binder, once you have provided e-mail address to send it to, we will take care of providing our insurance policy to the facility. Remember anyone can tell you they are a legal company operating in the state of Florida, ask them to show you proof.

How far in advance should I book your services for my event?

You can book whenever you like, the earlier the better. Our bookings are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are secured upon a signed contract and deposit.

Do you provide Uplighting or Monogram Lighting?

We use ultra bight LED fixtures and place them around the perimeter of the venue’s room, we can match virtually any color of your choice up to 40 colors

Are we guaranteed the DJ of our choice on the day of the event?

A written contract with your specific entertainer guarantees you will have no surprises on the day of your event. It is a good idea to put an initial payment down as soon as you find the person you prefer. Reputable DJ’s will often be booked a year or more in advance on peak days.

Do you charge a set-up and break-down fee?

You do not pay for set-up or break-down time. Equipment is set-up and the sound is checked long before your first guest arrives. For every event, this is on our time.

Does the DJ take any breaks?

The advantage of having a DJ do your event instead of a band is that a DJ does not take any breaks, only for a restroom break if needed but the music never stops.

What type of music do you have?

Our music collection alone speaks for our experience: in MP3 and CD format only we have a great selection of songs from swing to rap music for all occasions.

Will you allow music requests from my guests?

Requests are welcome. If a song seems inappropriate, a good DJ will explain the reason and ask your guest for an alternative selection. If you don’t want requests, please tell us and your guests before the event.

How early will you arrive to set-up at my event?

An average of 1 hour prior to the event should be allowed for set-up and sound check, and depending on the location and set-up difficulty.

My friend said he can DJ, why should I hire a professional DJ instead?

Party Specialists, Inc. DJs are not “weekend warriors.” This is our full time career, and it is one that we are proud of and enjoy. Anyone can just bring iPhone, iPad, or CD player to your party and play music but there really is a lot more to it. Party Specialists professional DJs bring with them their expertise, thousands of song titles, and professional equipment. A professional knows how to read the crowd and tailor the music to the guests. A professional knows how to keep the party flowing at a fun pace so you don’t lose half your guests in the middle of the party. These are talents that you can’t succeed at when you only “practice” on the weekends. Anyone can simply play music, but a professional DJ provides interaction with your guests and the best music entertainment.

How will you be dressed?

Appearance is from the DJ attire to equipment, we have a more professional appearance than most DJs. Proper attire reflects a positive image to your guests. Party Specialists, Inc. dresses formally unless you request otherwise.

What type of sound system, lighting and special effects do you use?

Only state of the art equipment and lighting like: Apple, Rane, Pioneer, American DJ, Western Digital, and JBL. You will never see cords or rusted mismatched components with old beat up broken home stereo equipment at a Party Specialists, Inc. event.

How loud will the sound be?

Do you hate that loud speaker sitting next to you? Don’t worry about that with us, we keep our speakers on stands and project the sound over the tables or direct it toward the dance floor and we make sure that all music is played at a respectable level, it’s also up to the setup of your room. Sometimes the room is set-up by the venue staff or the client does not go over where to put the DJ which is in the correct place, away from the guests tables.

Does the DJ interact with the guests at my event?

Party Specialists, Inc. DJs don’t sit in a chair all night, we know how to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Does the DJ smoke, drink alcohol, or take breaks at my event?

It’s not our company policy and unprofessional to do so, there are no stops in the music and no breaks for the DJ/MC at your special occasion.

Can we have a do not play music list?

Yes! This is very important to assuring your enjoyment at your event. We are always careful to avoid any selections that could be considered beyond the limits of good taste, any preferences you have will be honored.

Ceremony is on the beach & there is no electric power, how can we get sound?

Party Specialists, Inc. can supply you with a battery backup to run our sound system and a cordless microphone.

Do you have a wireless microphone system and a stand?

At our events we always supply UHF cordless microphone system with a stand and lapel clip on the microphone.

Are you able to play music for the ceremony?

We offer sound systems to ensure exceptional sound for your ceremony.

Should I provide a meal for the DJ?

This is your option and not required, for a normal 4 hour event (including set-up and break-down time) we could be at your event for 8 hours. Should you choose to provide a meal for the DJ, the convenience is warmly appreciated.

How much gratuity should I give the DJ?

Gratuity is very much appreciated. Gratuity typically range from 15% – 20%
